Post-medieval discoidal 4-ounce avoirdupois lead trade weight stamped on the front face with the arms of Norwich, a crowned I and four small Xs. On the reverse there are several randomly distributed lines of rocker-arm engraving and a knife-cut gash. The crowned I (with a short cross bar at mid point) is the royal cipher of James I (1603-25) or James II (1685-8). Diameter 42.5mm. Thickness 7.5mm. Weight 108.35g / 3.8215oz.
