Very roughly discoidal medieval to post-medieval lead weight possibly for 8oz avoirdupois, of variable thickness and with one slightly concave face. There are several U-sectioned grooves randomly disposed on the sides. Diameter 40 - 45mm. Thickness 16 - 19mm. Weight 217g / 3349 grains (8 ounces = 3500 grains). If avoirdupois then post c.1300. Probably antedating c.1600.
