Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch fragment, 27mm long, 10mm wide and 5mm thick with a weight of 4.39grams. The brooch consists of the centre of its bow. It has a D shaped cross section and is decorated with a raised collar flanked by two rounded recesses which are picked out with incised lines at either side. Just below this decoration the start of the catchplate is visible on the reverse.
