A cast copper alloy mount of Medieval date, about AD 1200 - 1500. It is shaped like a fleur de lis and is finely moulded with beading across the base and open circles within the two lower feathers. There are two empty rivet holes, one in the centra feather and on in the tails of the three feathers. The front is moulded and the reverse is flat. The mount has a smooth bright green patina. It is almost identical to number 1084 on page 201 of Dress Accessories (Egan and Pritchard 1991), which unfortunately is unphased, and SWYOR-EF00A2. The mount is 15.3mm long, 10.2mm wide and 1.8mm thick. 0.6g.
