A post-medieval silver penny of Elizabeth I (AD 1558-1603) dating from AD 1578 - 1580. Second issue. Initial mark: plain cross. Mint of London. North (1991, p135) no. 2001.

It is 14.5mm diameter, 0.6mm thick and 0.58g. It is slightly double struck and is not very central on the flan.
