Incomplete medieval copper alloy buckle. The oval frame survives only as an offset, narrowed bar and distorted stumps of the sides. The rectangular-sectioned pin lacks its tip. The probably trapezoidal sheet plate, with pin slot, frame recesses and two rivet holes, has lost the narrower outside edge and most of the front part. The small remaining part is decorated along the sides with lines of finely executed interrupted rocker-arm engraving giving the appearance of tiny addorsed triangles. Width of plate 13.7 - 11.5mm. 14th century.
