An incomplete copper alloy Roman mount dating to the period c. AD 350 - 425. The mount measures 22.01mm in length, 21.11mm in width, is 0.93mm thick and weighs 0.69g. The mount is a lozenge shape with rounded corners.
The front face is decorated with two circumferential bands of triangular punches and a central ring and dot motif. Two circular perforations are located just inside the two bands of punched decoration and have been pierced through the reverse. One rivet survivies in situ. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
