Post Medieval copper alloy button or linked cloak fastener. Discoidal with convex front and concave back. Integral drilled loop in centre of reverse face. Front face decorated with engraved and punched floral design. Similar buttons and linked fasteners are shown in Read, B. Metal Buttons 900-1700 (2005); p39-40. Circa 1600-1750 AD.
