Lead shot. Cast ball, distorted on one side, possibly from penetrating impact into soft material. A flat patch of 6mm square may show the use of a ramrod. The mass, at just under an ounce, would be apt to use with a smoothbore muzzle loading firearm of military specification, and the proximity of a Civil War fort at Trent Falls may be significant to this discovery. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1600-1800.
