An incomplete copper alloy medieval annular brooch. It consists of a simple circular cross-sectioned hoop with four oval knops encircling at regular intervals, each decorated with small incised dots arranged in an irregular patter. The pin is missing. The metal is grey-brown in colour and appears to be pewter like most other parallels of this type. It survives in very fine condition.
Egan and Pritchard (1991, 254, nos.1330 & 1333) illustrate two similar examples from excavations in London, one unstratified and one from a late 14th century context, suggesting a similar date for this example.
