Lead cloth seal. Cast disc linked to a ring through which a circular tab is inserted. A stamped motif, apparently a gridiron form such as a portcullis, and possibly crowned, appears within an outer circle; there may be a circumferential legend, though now unclear. The crowned portcullis denotes Norwich, which generated prodigious numbers of cloth seals in the early post-medieval period. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1650.
