Base fragment, probably Roman British in date, from a straight-sided vessel. An internal ?rim 3mm above the base is now broken and worn.
The fabric is pale orange with micaceous inclusions. Patches of ?sooting/ black are evident.
Measuring 34x20x5mm and weighing 6.44g.
