Medieval sheet copper alloy large lace chape, tightly-rolled and tapering, with an overlapping seam and a tiny aperture for the lace in the broad end, 3 x 2mm. Length 98.5mm. Broad end, tapering from 5 x 4.5mm to 2 x 2mm. For this type see Egan and Pritchard 1991, 288-90. c.1230 - c.1400.
