Flaked axe, or more accurately, adze head, D section, one side keeled, the other flat, no original cortex present but recorticated all over. Flint appears to be mixed, light-grey and off-white flint, opaque. Flaking carried out by the removal of large flakes, no tranchet sharpening, This object could be Mesolithic but a late Neolithic date is also possible.
