An incomplete Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy buckle pin (c. 460-c. 600).
This tapering pin is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat on the underside. The upper face has transverse grooves and ridges and the pin-tip is turned down. It has a flat back. On the underside there is a stub of an integral loop.
This object, including the break, has a brown patina.
