Five sherds (1 rimsherds, and 4 body sherds) of several different wheel thrown Medieval pottery types.
Two main types are present: Cotswold oolitic limestone cooking pot types (12th to 14th Centuries) and Worcestershire glazed jug types (13th to 15th Centuries).
The vessel types that are probably represented here included glazed jugs. Unglazed cooking pot types are present as well. This is representative of a typical Medieval ceramic assemblage.
The fragments vary in thickness from 6.22mm to 11.4mm. In total they weigh 24.6 grams.
There is a range of abrasion damage present on the group, with some sherds demonstrating relatively sharp edges compared to some sherds being heavily abraded. The heavily abraded sherds are suggestive of being present in the plough soil for a reasonable length of time, compared to the less abraded sherds, which may not have moved far from their original place of deposition.
