Incomplete, corroded and pitted Roman copper alloy mortar, point at terminal missing (ancient break). End-looped with broken remains of incurved loop with enlarged terminal lobe. Plain bow with deep U-shaped groove and rounded keel. Cf. Jackson 2010, fig.10. Extant length 62mm. Width 10mm. Weight 13.75g. Mid 1st - 3rd century.
