A lead alloy artefact, possibly a token of later Medieval or early Post-Medieval date, about AD 1400 - 1650. At a mass of 13.81gm (0.487oz) it may also have been intended as a crude half ounce weight. It is flat and sub-oval in plan and both sides are decorated with a roughly incised pattern in the form of a star with arms of rocker arm (wiggle work) pattern. One side has a star of six arms, the other has eight arms. The token has a dark cream patina. It is 28.5mm long, 24.9mm wide and 3.1mm thick.
One other token with rocker arm decoration can be found on the database at reference HESH-0E6DE2.
