A copper-alloy open-top thimble, or sewing ring, probably dating from the Late Medieval to early post-Medieval periods.
The diameter of the thimble gradually decreases towards the top. On the outer surface, there are four rows of rectangular indentations, bordered above and below by a plain band with horizontal groove.
