A copper alloy Roman brooch of a form unusual for Roman Britain.
Notes:
Brooches of this form appear to derive from the Balkans which puts this find in doubt. A very similar brooch was recorded from nearby (BERK-64C028) and this has been shown to have been sold at an auction about a year before it was 'found'. This brooch is regarded as being a recent 'plant'.
