A copper-alloy dupondius of Lucius Verus (AD 161-169), dating to AD 162-163 (Reece Period 8). Reverse: FELIC AVG TR P III COS II, Galley. Mint of Rome. RIC III, pp. 319-320, nos. 1329-30 and 1337-8. This coin was originally described as an as with a bare head. However, it appears to be radiate and the weight does support its reidentification as a dupondius (Sam Moorhead).
