A Roman copper-alloy bell shaped stud of Allason-Jones type 1 with part of its iron shaft remaining.
The central portion of the solid-cast head is of circular-section, its upper end flaring into a dish with damaged rim. A truncated-conical projection extends vertically upwards from the centre of this dish, with a recessed pellet at the centre of its flat upper surface. The head flares towards its flat base, at the centre of which, contained within a socket, is a corroded remnant of the iron shaft.
