A complete copper alloy thimble likely dating to the Post Medieval period. The thimble is either cast domed or beehive shaped, with horizontal rows of uneven, hand-stamped round indentations, continuing in an arrangement of concentric rings, beginning as a spiral at the top of the thimble. There is a horizontal plain band at the base of the thimble 2.4mm high bordering the opening. The object is flattened slightly at the base probably damaged sustained from being in cultivated land. The thimble is 18.0mm high, 18.28mm in diameter, 0.56mm thick and weighs 3.52g.
