A flint scraper of Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date (c. 4000 - 1600 BC). The scraper has been struck off a secondary flake and retains c. 10% cortex on the dorsal surface. The dorsal surface exhibits two parallel negative flake scars, one of which terminates in a hinged termination. One mesal edge exhibits short, scaled semi-abrupt retouch along the entire length. The opposite mesal edge exhibits short scaled abrupt retouch at the proximal end. There is no bulb of percussion visible on the ventral surface, it appears to have been removed by an old break. There are a series of faint conchoidal ripple marks visible, ending in a stepped termination. The flint is a cloudy dark grey colour with occasional light grey patches.
The scraper measures 47.06mm in length, 31.45mm maximum width, 22.72mm minimum width, is 8.55mm thick and weighs 14.93g.
