Description: A complete gilded silver post-medieval hooked dress fastener. It is rectangular in shape with a knop extending from each corner and the middle of each side. In the centre is a raised rectangle containing what looks like a bird's wing at each corner. To the reverse a hook extends from one end, soldered in place and a rectangular loop sits at the other end.

Discussion: It is very similar to another example from Suffolk illustrated by Read (2008, 60, no.186), who attributes a 16th century date to this type (ibid. 59). Parallels on the PAS database include: SF-9C8492, SF-3983 and NARC-34A9C1.
