Distorted fragment of a post-medieval copper alloy buckle frame, less than one oval loop of a double-looped, probably symmetrical example, with a knop perhaps representing a scallop shell in the centre of the edge. Broadly comparable with Whitehead 2003, no. 403, a much smaller example. Width c.45mm. c.1550 - c.1650.
