A fragment of an extremely small cast copper-alloy object of uncertain attribution, possibly a strap fitting, link or swivel, of unknown date, probably Roman-Post Medieval. The object consists of a small loop, with a small swivel arm or shaft is attached, which is oval in cross-section. The object has a deep green patina.
Notes:
The Sussex FLO notes that this item is very similar in shape to lorica segmentat armour fragments; however, its miniature size suggests that perhaps this object could have had a similar purpose, but perhaps a different identification is appropriate.
