An incomplete and worn post-Medieval copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1550-c. 1650).
The pin and one loop are missing.
This buckle frame is convex at the front and flat at the rear. the surviving loop is sub-oval in plan. The outer edge has two raised parallel ridges that form a central pin rest. These are barely visible due to wear. There is a small knop at each end of the narrowed bar which is 'D'-shaped in cross-section.
The frame is reddish brown and drab green with darker green patches of patina. There are small areas of corrosion. The breaks are old.
