A cast copper-alloy hooked tag of Post-Medieval date. It has asub rectangular plate with integral rectangular sewing lug at the upper edge, and integral hook at the base. The plate has a moulded relife desing with a pellet in the center and four radiating T-shaped arms forming a cross with two pellets in each corner; all within a linear border. At the base of the plate the integral hook has a ribbed collor.
The hooked tag is 30.3mm long, 12.9mm wide, 2.1mm thick and weighs 1.71 grams.
This is a hooked tag of Post-Medieval date that finds a close by Read (2008) in particualr ref 357. These are placed by him in his Early Post-Medieval Class E Type 3 hooked tag group and dated to the Post-Medieval period, c.16th-17th centuries AD.
