Copper alloy button. Light pressed metal button with a convex central boss with four stitching holes. The front of the rim bears the maker's or vendor's legend: HUTCHINSON.SCAWBY. on what appears a larger border motif resembling a belt or Garter. The sunken boss retains black paint. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1850-1900.

Diameter: 18.2mm, Thickness: 0.7mm, Weight: 1.47gms.

Inscription: HUTCHINSON.SCAWBY.
