An incomplete copper alloy mount of post-medieval date. The mount is comprised of a central domed lozenge panel within a ropework border and a rounded knop at its raised centre. Projecting knops are also present to either side of the mount and either end has a rounded pointed projections flanked by raised knops. One complete integral spike which is folded over survives projecting from one end of the reverse. The worn remains of a second spike are present at the opposite end.
The metal has a mid-brownish-green patina and is worn. The mount is 38mm long, 24.5mm wide, 9.8mm thick and weighs 5.5g.
