Copper alloy vessel fragment. Cast cauldron or pipkin foot, of concavo-convex section, slightly tapered, with five low longitudinal ridges on the outer side, representing the folds between an animal's paw pads, and with a slight horizontal swelling above representing the ankle. Broken at its top end. The hollow retains traces of sooting. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1350.
