An incomplete Post Medieval cast copper-alloy double loop trapezoidal buckle, c. 1620-1680 AD. The buckle has a narrowed strap bar and the pin is missing. The buckle frame has trefoil shaped ends and small lobed protrusion at either side of the strap bar. There is a small incised notch at the centre of the central foil on the outer edge of each loop, which would have served as a pin rest. There is also a transverse line on the outer edge of each loop. The buckle measure 34.9mm long, 23.6mm wide (at outer loop), 2.1mm thick and weighs 4.73grams. A similar example can be seen in Whitehead (2003), p. 84, no. 524.
