An incomplete Medieval copper alloy suspension mount for a horse-harness pendant (c. 1250-c. 1450).
This plain fitting is T-shaped and flat. The mount consists of a horizontal bar with a pair of perpendicular loops located centrally below. These loops are proud at the front. Within each loop are the remains of an iron axis bar which allowed the pendant to suspend. At each end of the bar there is a circular rivet hole, one slightly larger than the other.
This mount is reddish brown with light green corrosion products. There is no indication of any surface treatment.
