Incomplete and abraded Roman copper alloy plate brooch, with most of the edge and of the hinged pin and part of the catchplate missing. There is a double pin lug. The front carries traces of solder which would have secured a thin sheet with repoussé decoration. Mackreth 2011, British Plate 1. Extant diameter 22.6mm. Mid 2nd - mid 3rd century.
