An incomplete copper alloy bow brooch of Roman date. All that remains is the head, which is formed of tubular wings and a small portion of the circular sectioned upper bow. The remains of a pin can be seen projecting from the centre of the reverse of the head.
The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The brooch is 11.8mm long, 13.3mm wide, 4.6mm thick and weighs 2g.
An insufficient amount of the brooch survives to allow it to be allocated to a specific type though it is likely to be part of a Trumpet or Headstud variety of late 1st - 2nd century date.
