Medieval sheet copper alloy "shield-shaped" strap end with a bar-mount of arched section and two rivets, one with a rove. There is a pair of slight notches in the sides near the mount and the remainder is trilobed. Egan and Pritchard 1991, 156-8. Length and width 16.5 and 11.5mm. Mount 4 x 12mm. c.1270 - c.1450
