A small and heavily corroded copper alloy finger ring dating from the Roman to the Post Medieval Period. The band is cast with roughly a D-shaped section, being flat to the inner surface but with an uneven texture on the outer surface. There is a slight thickening at one section of the band, possibly suggesting a bezel. The extent of the corrosion makes it difficult to determine whether the ring would have been decorated or not. The copper alloy is now a dark brown colour with patches of bright green.
The finger ring has a diameter of 17.3mm, and internal diameter of c.15mm, a band width of 4.2mm and a band thickness of 1.1mm - 2.4mm. It weighs 1.12g.
