A flint borer tool of broad Neolithic date, dating from about 4000 BC - 2200 BC. The flint is a tertiary flake. It is patinated, opaque and white/cream in colour. It is sub-triangular in plan and sub-triangular in section with the boring point formed at the left hand side. There are some long, parallel, low angle removals to the proximal side of the point and short scaled semi-abrupt retouch on the distal side of the point. It is 41.6mm wide x 22mm long x 12.8mm thick. Weight 7.62g.
