TREASURE CASE : 2015 T330.

An incomplete (at time of discovery) gold finger ring of medieval date. The hoop of the ring is narrow with a D-shaped section and is undecorated. The hoop flattens slightly at the shoulders where it meets the integral bezel. The bezel itself is square with sloping sides which terminate is a smaller square setting. This type of bezel is commonly known as a pie dish. At the time of discovery the setting was empty but subsequently had a small garnet applied by the finder prior to the realisation of the items status as potential Treasure.
