A copper alloy stud of Roman to post medieval date (c. AD 43 - 1600). The stud exhibits a domed circular concavo-convex head measuring 9.88mm in diameter. The shank projects from the centre of the reverse and is square in cross-section. It is slightly bent and tapers from a width of 2.29mm to a width of 1.68mm, terminating in an old break.
The stud measures 9.88mm in diameter, 9.88mm in length and weighs 0.80g.
