An incomplete Roman strap end nail-cleaner with transverse grooves on neck and shoulders (Group/Type) dating to the period c. AD 250 - 410. It measures 27.65mm in length, 8.28mm maximum width, 4.64mm minimum width, is 1.66mm thick and weighs 1.38g.
The nail cleaner exhibits an integral circular suspension loop with a circular perforation below which it narrows into the rectangular handle. The handle is incised on both sides with a series of horizontal grooves. The nail cleaner then widens into the shoulders and terminates in a horizontal break across the blade.
