A copper alloy post medieval strap mount in the form of a scallop shell dating to the period c. AD 1500 - 1600. The mount has a convex obverse and correspondingly concave reverse. The obverse is decorated with a series of parallel longitudinal ridges in imitation of a scallop shell. The reverse exhibits two rectangular lugs positioned opposite one another on the horizontal axis.
