An incomplete copper alloy medieval chape. The chape consists of a folded piece of sheet metal, which has now become unattached along the length. It is a rounded rectangle in section. The front edge is severely damaged and is pitted along the edge. There is a worn break along the bottom edge. There is a green patina on the surface, and the object is fairly worn. The length is 44mm, the width is 28mm and the weight 7g. There are several parallels to this object; WILT-EEB18A, DUR-917B22 and YORYM-46B0AC.
