A silver half real, possibly of Philip IV of Spain (1621 - 1665). Cross potent on the obverse with lions and castles alternating in the angles. PLVSI monogram on the reverse (elements of the motto PLVS VLTRA). Probably minted in the Spanish American colonies. The planchet on which the coin was struck was irregular in shape and the coin may also have been clipped.
