Fragment of Roman copper alloy trumpet derivative type brooch (Mackreth TR 4.1bx Type). Broken bow, upper part missing, sub-triangular foot with worn decoration comprising the remains of a curvilinear device reserved on an enamelled field, enamel missing, device similar to that on Hattatt no.990 and Mackreth 2011, no.5617 although with voided upper triangle. Catch-plate on reverse. Extant length 24mm. Extant width 14.5mm. Late 1st century AD.
