A Medieval silver voided long cross penny of Edward III, dating from AD 1248-1250. Probably North Class 3a-3ab. Moneyer: Tomas. Mint of Northampton. Cf. North 1994 Vol I, p. 226, no. 986-986/1. The coin is extremely fragile, with a large crack runnning through the coin; currently the coin is still intact, but it is likely the coin will break into two fragments across this fissure line.
