copper-alloy radiate of Carausius dating to the period AD 286-293 (Reece Period 14). [LEG X?]X AVG, Boar standing left. C Mint, - //MC. This coin is unpublished, but the British Museum has a similar piece with the legend LEG XX AVG, Boar left, but with the mintmark - // SNC (British Museum 1920 0618 3A). The overall style of the coins is similar, showing that the MC and SNC mintmark were contemporaneous. This coin has been included in Sam Moorhead's Corpus for RIC.
