A worn, thick copper-alloy buckle. It has a D-shaped frame and a narrowed bar. The frame is oval in section, and tapers to the terminals. The terminals are worn, but may once both have been in the form of an animal-head; both have an elongated snout that extends slightly beyond the pin bar. The buckle might date to the 10th-12th century. See also DUR-CF79A3 for a parallel.
