TREASURE CASE 2015 T269. A complete but distorted gold 'posy' finger ring of post-medieval date. The finger ring has a thin, slightly rounded band inscribed on the flat interior with 'Content is treasur'. The maker's mark is a ligated HB within a rectangle. This type of finger ring dates from the late 17th century.

Dimensions: Length: 21.06 mm; Width of band: 2.82 mm; thickness of band: 0.73mm. Weight: 1.2 grams.


Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
